At what stage are the two space requirements displayed- I followed the instructions and tried a beta upgrade to 10.4, but I'm still getting the out-of-space error. Do these instructions work on beta upgrades (with update-manager called with -d)?

I found that step 4 gave me an error about the absence of the directory /home/apt/cache/partial. I solved this by using "sudo mkdir -p /home/apt/cache/partial" for step 2.
